Secretary General condemns in the strongest of terms the Israeli bill which aims at prohibiting the call for prayer (Azan) from the mosques in Al-Quds and the Palestine of 1948

“Fain would they extinguish Allah’s light with their mouths, But Allah will not allow but that His light should be perfected, even though the unbelievers may detest (it). It is He who hath sent His messenger with guidance and the Religion of Truth to cause it to prevail over all religion, even though the Pagans may detest (it).” Surat Al Tawba, Verse 32:33

The PUIC Secretary General, H.E. Prof. Mahmud Erol KILIC, condemns in the strongest of terms the Israeli bill which aims at prohibiting the call for prayer (Azan) from the mosques in Al-Quds and the Palestine of 1948. His Excellency emphasizes that the Knesset’s approval of this racist bill imperils religious freedoms and targets Muslims in general. The bill also affirms the unjust policies of the Israeli government to consolidate the Jewish-Zionist identity, and may drive the region to the brink of war.
His Excellency calls for a world condemnation as well as an international intervention by the UN and its Specialized Agencies, the IPU, national and regional parliaments, and human rights organizations, to pressure the government of occupation and the Israeli Knesset in order to back down from this dangerous racist bill before it is approved and put into force.
