Under the MoU, the meeting will be held in Nouakchott on 15 and 16 Sha'ban 1447H, corresponding to 3 and 4 February 2026.

During his meeting with PUIC Secretary General at the headquarters of the Mauritanian National Assembly, the President of the National Assembly welcomed H.E. the Secretary General and emphasized his commitment to ensure the active participation of the Mauritanian Parliament in the activities of the PUIC, which he regards as an important platform for coordination between parliaments of Islamic countries, in order to address the issues of the Ummah and seek appropriate solutions.

The Secretary General, in turn, expressed his delight to visit Mauritania and thanked the Speaker of the National Assembly for the warm reception and hospitality. H.E. also undertook to cooperate with the Mauritanian Parliament in order to ensure the success of the meeting that Mauritania will host.
