The Secretary General of the PUIC, His Excellency Mr Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, extended his sincere congratulations and best wishes to His Excellency Mr Abdul Hamid Al-Awak, Speaker of the People's Assembly of the Syrian Arab Republic, on his election as Speaker of the People's Assembly of Syria. H.E. the Secretary General also affirmed his commitment to ensuring the esteemed Assembly's participation in the PUIC’s activities, and his readiness to coordinate closely with the People’s Assembly of Syria to achieve the PUIC’s objectives, thereby serving the interests of the Islamic Ummah and helping it overcome the challenges it faces.

PUIC Secretary General Strongly Condemns Zionist Attempts to Ban Adhan in Palestinian Mosques

The so-called “Israeli Knesset” has, at its preliminary reading, approved a draft bill aimed at banning the call to prayer (Adhan) in mosques, under the name of the “Muezzin Law”. The Secretary General of the PUIC, His Excellency Mr Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, strongly denounces this measure, considering it null and void, a crime of a discriminatory and racist nature, and a flagrant violation of the cultural and religious rights enshrined in international human rights law.

PUIC Secretary General Condoles Saudi Arabia Following Saudi Aramco Plane Crash

The Secretary General of the PUIC, H.E. Mr. Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, expressed his heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia following the tragic crash of a Saudi Aramco helicopter on Sunday, 28 June 2026. The accident resulted in the deaths of several employees of the company who were on board. His Excellency the Secretary General prays to Allah Almighty to shower the deceased with His mercy, to bestow His grace upon their families, and to protect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from all harm.

PUIC Secretary General Condemns Attack on Islamic Centre in San Diego, California

The Islamic Centre in San Diego, California, USA, came under vicious attack on 18 May 2026, with assailants targeting the centre, which houses a mosque, a school, as well as other facilities. The attack resulted in several fatalities, including the centre’s brave security guard.
