PUIC Secretary General Strongly Condemns Zionist Attempts to Ban Adhan in Palestinian Mosques

The so-called “Israeli Knesset” has, at its preliminary reading, approved a draft bill aimed at banning the call to prayer (Adhan) in mosques, under the name of the “Muezzin Law”. The Secretary General of the PUIC, His Excellency Mr Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, strongly denounces this measure, considering it null and void, a crime of a discriminatory and racist nature, and a flagrant violation of the cultural and religious rights enshrined in international human rights law.

This measure comes as part of a series of actions undertaken by the Zionist enemy to impose restrictions on the Palestinian people in every aspect of their lives: their livelihoods, their housing, their freedom, and even their worship of their Lord.

The Secretary General adds that Palestinian people will remain steadfast in their attachment to their land, their homeland and their holy sites, and that the Islamic Ummah will continue to support them until they establish their independent State with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
