Statement of the Arab Interparliamentary Union on the 58th Anniversary of the Naksa

His Excellency Mr Brahim Boughali, Speaker of the People's National Assembly of Algeria, President of the Arab Interparliamentary Union (AIPU), issued a statement on 5 June 2025, on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the Palestinian Naksa.

In its statement, the AIPU praised the steadfastness of the Palestinian people against the Zionist aggression, particularly as Eid al-Adha approaches, stressing that this steadfastness reflects their unwavering commitment to their legitimate national rights and their solid will to continue defending them.

The Arab Interparliamentary Union also reminded the Arab and Islamic nations and the international community of the continued suffering of the Palestinian people, stressing the need to stop the bloodshed of the Palestinians. The statement also called for intensifying international coordination to put an end to the Zionist violations, as well as working to find a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause that ensures the opening of crossings and the delivery of humanitarian aid.

Furthermore, the statement emphasised that establishing an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital is the only viable path to achieving peace and peace and stability in the region.
