PUIC and the Senegalese Parliament Sign MoU on Executive Committee Meeting

On Friday, 25 July 2025, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the headquarters of the Senegalese National Assembly regarding the upcoming Executive Committee meeting between the PUIC and the Parliament of Senegal. The MoU was signed by H.E. Mr. Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, Secretary General of the PUIC, and H.E. Mr. Amadou Thimbo, Secretary General of the Senegalese National Assembly.

The MoU, that was signed during a ceremony organized at the building of the National Assembly of Senegal, stipulates that the 54th meeting of the PUIC's Executive Committee will be held in Dakar on 1 and 2 September 2025.

H.E. Mr. Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass spoke about the importance of the PUIC, as it represents the largest assembly of parliamentarians in the Islamic world, and praised the role of the Senegalese National Assembly in the PUIC, as it hosted the second Conference in the history of the PUIC, and continues to hold a prominent position in the African Group of the PUIC.

Meanwhile, H.E. Mr. Amadou Thimbo, Secretary General of the National Assembly, assured that the next meeting of the Executive Committee will be well organized in Dakar and that all measures will be taken to make it a success.
