H.E. the PUIC Secretary General Prof. Dr. Mahmud Erol KILIC participated in the annual Parliamentary Hearing which was held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA, on 6-7 December 2012. This year’s session was held under the title “A road less travelled: Parliamentary approaches to conflict prevention, reconciliation and peace-building.”
The participants in the Hearing which is jointly organized by the UN General Assembly and the Inter Parliamentary Union (IPU) exchanged views on a three pronged question: how to prevent conflict; promote reconciliation; and help consolidate peace where it remains fragile.
