Turkish Prime Minister Visits PUIC

The Headquarters of the PUIC was graced by a kind visit of H.E. the Turkish Prime Minister Mr. Recep Tayyib Erdogan and the accompanying delegation on Wednesday evening 28 March 2012 in response to an invitation extended by His Excellency the PUIC Secretary General Prof. Mahmud Erol KILIC.
His Excellency Mr. Erdogan was received at the PUIC Seat by His Excellency the Secretary General Professor Mahmud Erol KILIC and His Excellency the Director of the Cabinet Ambassador Siddig Yousif Abu Aghla, and other PUIC officials. 
At the outset of the meeting, which took place in the office of the Secretary General, Prof. KILLIC made an exhaustive presentation about the establishment of the Union and its progress which aimed at realizing its sublime objectives to serve our glorious Islamic nation through joint parliamentary action as well as PUIC programmes and future plans. His Excellency the Prime Minister lauded the PUIC work and its contributions towards advancing joint Islamic action.
He underlined the support extended by the PUIC Member Parliaments to the Union’s programmes.  He appreciated the role of Muslim Parliaments in promoting legislative action and supporting the causes of the Ummah.
This meeting was attended by H.E. the Turkish Minister of Economic Affairs Mr. Zafer Caglayan, and the Turkish Ambassador to Iran Mr. Umit Yardan.
The visit was concluded by a photo session including the honourable guest and the PUIC Staff.
