Indonesian Minister of Culture Hosts a Gala in Honour of PUIC Conference Delegations

The Minister of Culture of Indonesia, H.E. Mr. Fazli Zon, organised on Sunday evening, 11 May 2025, at the Indonesian National Museum in Jakarta, a delightful gala in honour of the delegations participating in the 19th Session of the Conference of the PUIC and its accompanying meetings, scheduled from 12 to 15 May 2025.

The ceremony opened with a speech by H.E. the Minister who welcomed H.E. the Secretary General of the PUIC, Mr Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, and the participating delegations, praising the journey of the PUIC, which this year commemorates its Silver Jubilee.

H.E. the Minister highlighted Indonesia's pride in Islam and its outstanding contribution to the Islamic civilisation, as evidenced by the museum where the ceremony was held.

The ceremony was also addressed by the Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, H.E. Mrs. Puan Maharani, who, after welcoming the delegates, emphasised that the House of Representatives has made all the arrangements to ensure a well-organised PUIC Conference and its accompanying meetings.

The ceremony followed a tour of the Indonesian National Museum and musical performances depicting the determination of the Indonesian people to build a strong, united and prosperous nation. The ceremony, which was followed by a dinner banquet, concluded with the singing of passionate poems about the struggle of the Palestinian people and a detailed presentation on the support of the Indonesian State and people for the Palestinians fighting for freedom, honour and dignity for themselves and the Islamic nation.
