Secretary General Condemns Israeli Plan on Al-Aqsa Mosque

H.E. Prof. Mahmud Erol KILIC, PUIC Secretary General condemns and denounces, in the strongest terms, the Act on Partitioning of Al-Aqsa Mosque, which the Israeli Knesset has started to discuss recently. The Act aims at changing the status quo of Al-Aqsa Mosque by allowing Jews to perform their rituals within its precincts, and allocating a place and specific time for this purpose.

The Secretary General views this Israeli step as part of the chain of continuous Zionist conspiracy aggression on the blessed First Qibla and Third of the Holy Mosques as well as the eternal capital of the independent State of Palestine.
The Secretary General affirms that these Israeli actions constitute serious violations of international conventions and UN relevant resolutions. They also involve substantial provocation against the sentiments of hundreds of millions of Muslims and freedom-loving people in the various parts of the world, and a threat to regional and international stability, security and peace.
The Secretary General is directing an urgent appeal to the United Nations and its specialized agencies; the UN Security Council; IPU; regional and continental political and parliamentary organizations and unions, to initiate quick action in order to eliminate these highly dangerous Israeli ambitions and practices.
