On the 50th Anniversary of the Burning: Protection of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Is Arab and Muslim Responsibility

The Palestinian National Council (PNC) affirmed that the responsibility for the protection of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and all Muslim and Christian sanctities, as well as providing the essentials for the steadfastness of Maqdesi people is an Arab and Muslim responsibility, in the first place, together with preventing the execution of the occupation’s design, involving time and place partitioning of Al- Aqsa Mosque.

On the 50th anniversary of the burning of the Mosque in 1969, the PNC stated that the city of Al Quds, with its Muslim and Christian sanctities, and its steadfast citizens, and its estates, houses, and historical, cultural and religious heritage, are still facing a systematic Israeli aggression aimed at emptying it of its Palestinian inhabitants leading to its judaization.

PNC stressed that the city of Al-Quds is also facing alteration of its historical and religious landmarks. There are 105 Jewish temples in an attempts to falsify history. There are also not less than 28 settlement antiquity tunnels. The occupation also made 104 excavations in various sites, the most outstanding of which are 4 excavations beneath and around Al- Aqsa Mosque, and 5 excavations in Salwan, 5 others in the Old town, and 8 excavations in different places in the city of Al-Quds.
