Lebanon Election
14 June 2009 PUIC News DeskTehran – Secretary General of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Members States (PUIC) Professor Mahmud Erol KILIC Congratulated the Lebanese political leaders on the success of the recently held legislative general elections.
The PUIC sent separate congratulatory Messages to H.E. Michel Sulleiman, President of the Republic of Lebanon, H.E. Nabih Berri, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and H.E. Sheikh Saad Al-Hariri, President of the majority Al-Mustagbal Parliamentary bloc and Leader of Tayyar Al-Mustagbal (Future Tide).
In his messages the Secretary General stated that popular participation in these elections has proved determination to consolidate unity among the various sects. He wished the House of Representatives success in serving the brotherly Lebanese people who symbolize heroism, democracy and peaceful co-existence among all its categories.
