The Inter-Parliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy (I.A.O.) expressed indignation and deep concern about the new attack against Christians in Syria by armed extremist groups and their abduction of nuns from the Convent of St, Thekla in Maaloula in Syria.
In a statement the I.A.O. demanded the respect for places of worship, religious intuitions and the rights of Christians in Syria.
