In Isfahan: Executive Committee Adopts Draft Agendas of Meetings

The Executive Committee of the PUIC held its 28th Meeting in the city of Isfahan, Islamic Republic of Iran, on Saturday 29th September 2012.
The meeting was attended by delegations of the Committee members from the following countries: Algeria, Chad, Iran, Mali, Morocco, Turkey and United Arab Emirates.
It was also attended by members of the Troika: Uganda, Indonesia and Sudan.
The meeting, hosted by the Islamic Republic of Iran, was chaired by H.E. Dr. AlaaEddin Broujerdi, Chairman of the Committee on National Security and International Relations of the Islamic Parliament, on behalf of H.E. Dr. Ali Larijani, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament.
The opening session was attended and addressed by their Excellencies the Governor of Isfahan Dr. Zaker Isfahani; Mr. Surahman Hidayat, Representative of the President of the 7th PUIC Conference; Mr. Hajo Qasm Al Sid, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Sudan; and Prof. Mahmud Erol KILIC, PUIC Secretary General.
The meeting adopted the Draft Agendas of the Four Standing Specialized Committees; the Draft Agenda of the 15th Session of the PUIC General Committee; and the Draft Agenda of the 8th PUIC Conference. It was also agreed to hold the Second Session of the Conference of Muslim Women Parliamentarians on the sidelines of the PUIC Conference in Khartoum.
The meeting was informed that the 8th PUIC Conference will be hosted by the National Assembly of the Sudan on the third week of January 2013. The meeting also adopted its report and the Isfahan Declaration.
