PUIC Secretary General Welcomes the Creation of The Hague Group in Support of the Palestinian People

The Secretary General of the PUIC, H.E. Mr Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, welcomed the creation of The Hague Group, which aims to work towards ending the Zionist occupation of the Palestinian territories, holding the occupation accountable for its crimes against the Palestinian people, ending its continuous violations, and supporting the right of the Palestinians to self-determination.

His Excellency stressed that the formation of this group marks an important milestone in reinforcing the international system founded on justice and the rule of law, and called on Member Parliaments to support it and promote wider endorsement of it.

His Excellency also praised the commitment of the founding countries to fight the injustice suffered by the Palestinian people. The initiative was led by nine countries, which are: Malaysia, Belize, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Honduras, Namibia, Senegal and South Africa, and was launched on Friday, 31 January 2025.

His Excellency called on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities in addressing the occupation, and to take practical measures to ensure justice for the Palestinian people in order to establish their independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
