In response to an invitation extended by IPA-CIS, His Excellency the PUIC Secretary General delegated H.E. Ambassador Siddig Yousif Abu Agla, Director of the Cabinet to take part in the “International Conference on Nuclear Security in Today’s World: Role of Parliamentarians in Nuclear Disarmament and Non-Proliferation”, which was held in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation, on 29 November 2013.
The Director of the Cabinet delivered the contribution of H.E. the PUIC Secretary General at the session on discussing the role of parliamentarians, which included the PUIC objectives of enhancing coordination among peoples of the world aimed establishing peace based on justice. The contribution also referred to PUIC resolutions on making the entire Middle East region a zone free of weapons of mass destruction, especially nuclear weapons.
