POLITICAL AFFAIRS
1. Al-Quds Al-Sharif, Palestinian Affairs and consolidation of the request for full membership for Palestine in UN (proposal by the Republic of Indonesia) and other occupied Territories in Syria and Lebanon
2. Following up the steps taken to implement the resolutions of the first Extraordinary Conference in Damascus as well as the 13th session Council of the PUIC concerning the visit by delegation of Speakers of member Parliaments to Gaza Strip.
3. The inalienable equal and balanced rights of all peoples to have free access and free use of modern technology for peaceful purposes and making the whole Middle East region a zone free of all weapons of mass destruction, especially nuclear weapons with no exception.
4. Supporting the efforts of the people and government of Iraq to ensure Iraqi’s unity and reconstruction.
5. Standing by the Sudan in the face of threats and challenges that confront it, supporting Sudan in defending its sovereignty, security, stability and unity and against allegations made by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against its leaders.
6. Combating terrorism under the umbrella of the UN and reconfirming the legitimate right to resist occupation and foreign aggression by all individual and collective means according to Article 51 of the UN Charter and further documents and measures of liquidation of colonialism and racism.
7. Promoting solidarity and unity among Muslim States to confront increasing challenges and conspiracies which target the capabilities of the Islamic Ummah.
8. Selecting the members of the Standing Parliamentary Committee on Palestinian Affairs.
9. Following up the formation of a delegation from the Member Parliaments to visit parlıaments of influential western states in order to discuss strengthening relations of cooperation and to desist from practicing double standards in dealing with the issues of the Islamic world.
10. Recent polıtıcal and humanitarian development ın Somalia and consideration of the road map prepared by the UN
11. Recent developments of the situation of Muslims in Cyprus, in Jammu and Kaschmir and consideration of Armenia’s occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.
12. Rejection of all economic sanctions – whether unilateral or multi-lateral – imposed on any Muslim country particularly PUIC States.
13. Extension of PUIC support in the fields of democracy, economy and education to Muslim population in European countries (for the Standing Specialized Committee on Political and Economic Affairs).(proposed by Indonesia).
14. The situation of the Turkish Minority in Western Thrace and Muslim Community in Aegean Sea 12 Islands. (Proposed by Republic of Turkey)
15. Peoples’ Dynamism in the Middle East. (Proposed by the Republic of Indonesia)
ECONOMIC AFFAIRS
16. Warning against the danger of the international financial crisis and its impact of globalization upon the economies of developing countries and in particularly on Islamic Countries:-
- Taking Islamic action to face the effects of the Global financial crisis;
- Protecting the rights of migrant workers and their families.
17. Allocation of voluntary financial contributions in favor of the PUIC from Member Parliaments to provide urgent assistance to the people in Gaza Strip as well as to finance activities of interdependence (Takaful) and solidarity among Islamic States during any kind of disaster.
18. Importance of international parliamentary cooperation in the face of natural disasters, especially in the framework of extending relief to the victims:-
18.1 Famine in Somalia,
18.2 Floods in Pakistan
18.3 Issues of Poverty and Secret Migration in the Islamic World.
19. Encouraging and enhancing bilateral and multilateral trade among Islamic States.
