This constitutes a premediated provocation against all Muslims in view of the sanctity of the Holy Quran to them. This criminal act does not only contradict the freedom of worship and respect of religions, but it is also morally repudiated, and shunned by the tolerant human values.

Indeed, this aggression is but a racist action aimed to agitate the sentiments of hatred and extremism and ostracism of the other, at a time when we are more in need of enhancing the values of tolerance, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence. We, therefore, call for the immediate cessation of such revolting actions, and the need of necessary measures to ensure their non-repetition in the future. We confirm the responsibility of states in putting an end to such repulsive practices which are apt to undermine the security and stability of societies as well as international peace and security.
