Secretary General Affirms Duty of the Ummah to Support Palestinian People

These days witness the passage of the 56th anniversary of the 5th of June 1967 setback, when the Zionist entity launched its barbaric aggression, and occupied the remaining parts of the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as parts of Arab States neighboring to Palestine.

This painful memory comes at a time when the suffering of the Palestinian people is increasing under a despicable racist regime built on injustice and oppression and the abuse of human dignity, and the perpetration of all crimes and the violation of all legislations and laws prevailing in the world.

This memory also comes in the shadow of an unprecedented escalation of aggression led by the most extremist government that practices all crimes against the Palestinian people, in terms of killing, dispersion, ethnic cleansing, confiscation of land, demolition of houses, desecration of sanctities, adoption of a policy of judizing the city of Al Quds, and attempts to change the historical set-up of the blessed Al Aqsa Mosque. All of this takes place at a time when thousands of prisoners, among them women and children, are suffering in the prisons of the enemy.

H.E. the PUIC Secretary General Mr. Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, urgently stressed, in this anniversary, on the necessity that the international community and world conscience, should bear their responsibility for the Palestinian cause until injustice is removed and until the establishment of the independent Palestinian state with Al Quds Al Sharif as its capital. He also stressed that the Islamic Ummah is duty – bound to support the heroic Palestinian people in their continuous struggle against the Zionist occupiers.
