His Excellency the Secretary-General considers that fanaticism and insulting religious symbols will only lead to the growth of the phenomenon of violence and incitement to hatred, instead of spreading the values of tolerance and understanding that our true Islamic religion calls for.
PUIC conferences have called on the States of Member Parliamets to continue their efforts to inform about our Islamic religion, and to ward off misconceptions about Islam and Muslims, and considered that the aim of this World Day is to promote global dialogue in order to spread a culture of tolerance and peace at all levels.
