1.    The Standing Specialized Committee on Women, Social and Cultural Affairs held its 5th Meeting in Abu Dhabi, UAE on 11-12 Safar, 1432H corresponding to 16 – 17 January, 2011.  The Committee elected H.E. Dr. Nour Hayati Ali Al-Saggaf, Representative of the House of Representatives of Indonesia to chair the Meeting as a Rappartoeur.

-    H.E Mr. Gassama, Representative of Mali

3.    The PUIC General Secretariat was represented by H.E. Ambassador Siddig Yousif Abuagla Ahmed Director of Cabinet who welcomed the Members of the Committee on behalf of the Secretary General. He also conveyed to the meeting the welcome of the PUIC Secretary General and his wishes for the success of the proceedings of the Committee.

4.    The meeting reviewed the Agenda and discussed its items. The discussion included interventions which finally led to the adoption of the attached draft resolutions to be submitted to the august PUIC Council.
