Secretary General Condemns Terrorist Attacks Against Burkina Faso

H.E. the PUIC Secretary General Mr. Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass expressed great sadness for the news concerning attacks launched by terrorists on a village in the province of Yagha, in the Sahel region of Burkina Faso, on the night of Friday to Saturday morning, on June 5, 2021, resulting in the death of more than 138 persons, while the death toll is increasing.

The Secretary General also expressed grief at another attack by terrorists on a village in northern Burkina Faso leading to the killing of 14 individuals.

This came in a message sent by the Secretary General to H.E. Mr. Alassane Bala Sakandé, Speaker of the National Assembly of Burkina Faso.

The Secretary General announced his condemnation of the upsurge of such violent attacks against Burkina Faso in recent weeks, and offered to the Speaker, Parliament, government and people of Burkina Faso, his sincere condolences, and reiterated support and solidarity with Burkina Faso in its struggle against these terrorists.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to shower mercy on the dead, grant speedy recovery to the wounded, and give patience and solace to the families of the victims.
