PNC Calls for Urgent UN protection For the Palestinians

The political Committee of the Palestine National Council stated that the Catastrophe (Nakbah) is a continuing crime, and that the occupation is carrying out its implementation on the occupied Palestinian land since 1967 in order to alter its political and historical landmarks.

The Committee discussed in its meeting held in Amman, Jordan, last Monday, the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people, especially in the occupied city of Al Quds and Al Aqsa Mosque.

The Committee affirmed that the forcible eviction of Al Quds citizens from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah, Bustan, Batn Al Hawa in Salwan Town, as well as Wadi Al Joze, Walajah and Qalandia airport constitutes a crime against humanity and war crime, according to the principles and rules of the International Criminal Court, and constitutes also a violation of the International Law, the Hague Agreement and the resolutions of the UN Security Council, especially Resolution 2334 of 2016.

The PNC requested the United Nations to impose sanctions on the Israeli government of occupation for refusing to implement Resolutions 181 and 194 as a condition for accepting its membership in the United Nations.

The Committee affirmed that events in the city of Al Quds and the other Palestinian territories necessitate on the United Nations to provide urgent protection for the civilian Palestinians.

It also called on the League of Arab States to implement resolutions of its successive summits concerning financial support since 2002. The committee requested the OIC to offer the necessary material, political and information support to the city of Al Quds.

The Committee stated that there is a big responsibility on Arab and Islamic parliaments and their unions to implement their resolutions relevant to the city of Al Quds, and the necessity of exercising pressure on their respective governments to implement the resolutions of the Arab Summits relevant to the Palestinian cause.
