Secretary General Congratulates the Islamic Nation on the occasion of the Blessed Month of Ramadan

His Excellency the Secretary-General of the PUIC, Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass congratulated the Islamic nation on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan, wishing it and its people continued prosperity and Beneficence, calling upon the Almighty to bring about peace, security, unity, and renunciation of disagreement and division among the ranks of the nation.

Secretary General Congratulates Speaker of Pakistan Parliament

H.E. the PUIC Secretary General, Mr. Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass expressed sincere congratulations, and those of his colleagues at the PUIC General Secretariat to H.E. Mr. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, on the occasion of his election as Speaker of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and also on the occasion of the success of the legislative and Presidential elections in the country. The Congratulations were also extended to the august Parliament of Pakistan and the brotherly Pakistani people.

The Islamic Republic of Iran conducted successful elections, on Friday 1 March 2024, to elect 290 members of the Islamic Parliament.

The 50th Meeting of the PUIC Executive Committee in the presence of the Standing Specialized Committee on Economic Affairs and Environment, commenced its proceeding on 15 February 2024, in Constantine, People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, in order to follow-up the implementation of some resolutions and recommendations of the 17th PUIC Conference, which held on 29-30 January 2023, in Algiers, People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.

Presidential and Parliamentary Elections took place in the Republic of Indonesia on 14 February, 2024, More than 204 million registered voters, representing 75% of its population, voted in the largest one-day election in the world, to choose a President, Vice- President and members of Parliament as well the members of local Councils.

PUIC Participates in Monitoring Presidential Elections in Azerbaijan

Presidency of Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) has followed up with strong interest pursuing the Zionist entity for the first time before international judicial institutions after the Republic of South African has lodged a lawsuit at the International Court of Justice to hold the entity accountable for its crimes against the Palestinian people, especially the genocide crime which victimized more than 27,000 martyrs, mostly women, children and the elderly.
