The PUIC Secretary General, H.E. Professor Mahmud Erol KILIC Strongly condemned and denounced the unjust sentence passed by an Israeli occupation Court against Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Duwaik, Speaker of the Palestinian National Council.
In his statement Prof. KILIC characterized the sentencing as a blatant and obvious violation of the parliamentary immunity of the elected Speaker of the Palestinian National Council.
His Excellency requested the international community, its civil societies, particularly the IPU and all Parliamentary Unions to denounce this unjust sentence, force the Israeli authorities to revoke it and immediately release Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Duwaik and all those wrongly detained members of the Council.
