Traditionally, PUIC publishes two issues per year, one in winter and one in summer. The winter issue usually coincides with the PUIC's annual conference, while the summer issue coincides with the Executive Committee meeting. However, since the Conference has been postponed until May, the General Secretariat has taken the initiative to publish a winter issue on the website, dedicated entirely to the most critical issue in the Islamic world, the situation in the Gaza Strip, which for 15 months has suffered a devastating war unprecedented in history and a genocide witnessed by the whole world.
In the editorial of this issue, H.E. Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, Secretary General of the PUIC, praised the people of Gaza for the victory achieved over the usurping enemy, describing them as a symbol of resilience, honour and pride, and praised the heroes of Gaza who faced an aggressive and unjust war waged by the Zionist entity which employed all internationally prohibited weapons of destruction.
His Excellency noted that despite the genocide and the failure of the international community, Gaza stood firm until the army that claims to be invincible was humiliated and withdrew, leaving behind a trail of defeat, shame and disgrace. This series of events ultimately led to the collapse of its alliance of supporters, as some of them came to the realisation that they were defending an unjust cause.
Concluding the editorial, His Excellency asserted that the events in Gaza serve to bolster the conviction amongst believers that God's promise of victory and empowerment for this nation will ultimately be realised.
