PUIC General Secretariat Participates in APA Conference in Azerbaijan

Upon the kind invitation of H.E. Mrs. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and as part of its efforts to strengthen cooperation between the PUIC and other parliamentary organizations, the General Secretariat of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States participated in the 15th Plenary Session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) held on Wednesday, 19 February 2025 at the headquarters of the Parliament of Azerbaijan in Baku, under the theme: “Role of Parliamentary Diplomacy in Developing Multilateral Cooperation and Development in Asia”.

The Media Observatory of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC): 695 Martyrs Recorded in Gaza and in the West Bank during the Past Seven Days

The Media Observatory of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for Israeli Crimes against the Palestinians recorded the killing of 695 Palestinian, during the period from February 4 to 10, 2025, 18 of whom were murdered in the Gaza Strip by the fire of the occupation forces, and 5 were murdered in the West Bank as a result of the continuous Israeli bombing on Palestinian camps. In addition to the recovery of 99 bodies from under the rubble in the Gaza Strip, and the documentation of the killing of 572 others during the Israeli aggression on the Strip before the ceasefire was announced. The OIC Observatory also documented a total of 49,119 Palestinians murdered and 118,371 wounded from October 7, 2023, to February 10, 2025.

AIPU Condemns Occupation's Escalation and Warns of its Serious Repercussions

In a letter dated 9 February 2025, H.E. Mr Brahim Boughali, President of the Arab Interparliamentary Union and Speaker of the People's National Assembly of Algeria, wrote to the presidents of national, regional and international parliaments, strongly condemning the Zionist occupation's decision to ban the activities of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), noting that this decision constitutes a dangerous escalation aimed at systematically liquidating the Palestinian cause through eliminating the refugee file and cancelling the right of return.

PUIC Secretary General Congratulates Speaker of Mozambique's Parliament

The Secretary General of the PUIC, H.E. OIC Media Observatory Report: Attacks on Several Mosques and Storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque

The Israeli occupation forces killed 25 Palestinians in the West Bank, and 12 others in the Gaza Strip, while rescue teams in the Strip recovered the bodies of 189 Palestinians murdered as a result of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, which lasted for more than a year. The Media Observatory of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for Israeli Crimes against Palestinians documented a total of 226 Palestinians murdered and 170 wounded during the period from January 28 – February 3, 2025.

OIC Media Observatory Report: After Gaza, Israeli Aggression Intensifies in the West Bank

The Media Observatory of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for Israeli Crimes against the Palestinians recorded, between January 21-27, 2025, the recovery of 264 bodies of Palestinians murdered in the Gaza Strip. During this period, 37 Palestinians were murdered by bullets and shells of the occupation forces in Gaza, the West Bank and occupied Al-Quds. More than 492 Palestinians were wounded in various Palestinian areas. As of January 23, 2025, the total number of Palestinian murdered since October 7, 2023, had risen to 48,156, while the number of wounded reached 118,172.

OIC Media Observatory Report: In the week leading up to the ceasefire, Israel has significantly escalated its military actions;

In the final hours preceding the ceasefire agreement, violent escalations marked the conflict, particularly in the Gaza Strip, where Israeli occupation forces killed 60 Palestinians along with two in the West Bank and injured 348 others. The OIC Media Observatory documented a staggering toll from January 14 to 20, 2025, with 466 martyrs and 1,470 injuries noted, alongside the recovery of 62 bodies. The cumulative death toll since October 7, 2023, reached 47,896, with a wounded count of 117,791.
