PUIC Secretary General Strongly Condemns the European Parliament's Interference in Algeria's Internal Affairs

PUIC Secretary General Strongly Condemns the European Parliament

On Thursday, 23 January 2025, the European Parliament passed a resolution pertaining to the internal affairs of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. The Secretary General of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States, H.E. Mr Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, expresses his strong condemnation of this resolution, which is regarded as a blatant and unacceptable interference in the internal affairs of Algeria.

H.E calls on the European Parliament to cease such actions that violate the sovereignty of states and contradict the role of parliaments in promoting dialogue and cooperation between peoples.

H.E the Secretary General also affirms full solidarity with the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria in its defence of its sovereignty against the provocations that the European Parliament continues to carry out against it and against other PUIC Members.

It is noteworthy that the European Parliament has not issued any statement denouncing the genocide perpetrated by the Zionist entity in Gaza and throughout Palestine, which is a clear case of double standards and bias.
