Participants discussed the challenges facing Asia, such as climate change, drying glaciers, intra-Asian trade, exchange of legislative capacity, the spread of epidemics, lack of security, drug trafficking, etc.
In addition to the issues on the agenda, the speeches of the heads of delegations of the member parliaments also focused on the Palestinian cause and its developments, the need to confront attempts to liquidate it, and the categorical rejection of displacement plans and the establishment of an alternative homeland for the Palestinians. Participants also strongly condemned all war crimes and genocide against the Palestinian people and the continuing Israeli aggression on the West Bank, Lebanon and Syria.
Moreover, the meeting approved the Sultanate of Oman's membership in the Asian Parliamentary Assembly and it endorsed the request of Belarus to be granted observer status in APA.
The meeting also voted Bahrain's parliament as the president of the APA for 2026 and Iran's parliament as its president for 2027.
