His Excellency the Secretary General noted that her election marks a significant milestone, as she is the first woman to assume the position of Speaker of the Lower House of the Algerian Parliament. H.E. noted that this serves as a testament to the progress made in the empowerment of women and their active participation in parliamentary and political life in Algeria.
In his letter, the Secretary General also reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the People's National Assembly of Algeria, in order to better serve the PUIC’s objectives and further promote Islamic solidarity.
