Secretary General’s Statement on terrorist attack in New Zealand

His Excellency Mr. Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States, strongly condemned the shooting of worshipers and the bombing of mosques in New Zealand, on Friday 15 March 2019, 8 Rajab 1440H.

These incidents resulted in the deaths of at least 50 martyrs and wounded dozens of worshipers, and the Secretary-General called on the Government of New Zealand to inflict the most severe punishment of these fanatics.

In his statement, the Secretary General prayed to Almighty God to grant mercy to the dead and speedy recovery to the injured people.
