PUIC Desk
The First Meeting of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) Council, held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 11-12 August 2009, welcomed the intention of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) to become an observer at the APA. The Meeting decided to recommend to the APA Plenary to grant observer status to the PUIC. The APA also invited the PUIC Secretary General to participate in the APA Plenary scheduled to be held in Bandung, Indonesia, on 7-10 December 2009.
