The General Secretariat of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States presents its compliments to all the august Member Parliaments and with reference to its Note No. MP-120IPU/09-060 dated 29th January 2009, concerning the Consultation Meeting of the Islamic Group along the side lines of the 120th Assembly of the IPU will be held in the Meeting Room No.6 on the Ground Floor of the United Nations Conference Centre in Addis Ababa, on Monday 6th April 2009 at 08:30 to 10:30 a.m. has the honour to enclose herewith the Draft Agenda of the Consultation Meeting.

The General Secretariat further requests Member Parliaments to send as early as possible the agenda items they wish to discuss or get the supports of the PUIC Member Parliaments during the said meeting.

3-1 Supporting the efforts to etablish sustainable dialogue between Islamic and Western Parliaments (Res. No. 6/11-CNCL)
3-2 To constitute and International Fact Finding Mission to investigate Israel's unprecedented violations of human rights and the International Humanitarian Laws and bring the culprits as war criminals to international justice. (Istanbul Declaration)
3-3 Adopting a UN Decision on issuing an international legislation to ban insult of divine religions and their symbols (proposed by the 11th Session of the PUIC Council)
3-4 Democracy, human rights and International Humanitarian Law (Proposed by the 11th Session of the PUIC Council)
3-5 Appointement of the Rapporteurs for the 122nd Assembly (Mentioned in the Agenda of the 120th Assembly of the IPU)
3-6 Support for the election of a substitute for the Arab Group for the First Standing Committee (both titular and substitute) (mentioned in the Agenda of the IPU First Standing Committee)

4- The establishment of an international fact-finding committee on the Israeli attacks against Gaza and the role of the international parliamentarians in the Middle East Peace and Security (Proposed by the National Assembly of the United Arab Emirates)
