Murat Mercan, Chairman of Turkish Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee and Egemen Bagis, deputy chairman as well as 150 other senior officials of the Turkey's ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) resigned from the Turkish-Israeli Inter-Parliamentary friendship group over the Israeli attacks on Gaza Strip saying that Israel's attacks on Gaza have caused sorrow for the Jewish citizens of Turkey, and this move was a show of disrespect towards Turkey.
