Speaker of the Parliament of Turkish Cypriot State Visits PUIC Headquarters

His Excellency the speaker of the Parliament of the Turkish Cypriot State Dr. Hassan Bozer, accompanied by a parliamentary delegation visited the PUIC Seat on Saturday 28th April 2012. They were received by H.E. Ambassador Ali Asghar Mohammadi, PUIC Assistant Secretary General and Ambassador Siddig Yousif Abu Agla, Director of the Cabinet and Mr. Hakki Uygur,  PUIC Director of Protocol.
The two sides reviewed the resolutions adopted by the 7th Session of the PUIC Conference, held in Palembang, Republic of Indonesia, in late January 2012. Dr. Bozer hailed the success of the Conference and commended the resolutions on the situation in Cyprus, particulary the call on the states of the Member Parliaments to support effective solidarity and enhance relations with the Turkish Cypriot State, as well as to maintain close links with it aimed at overcoming the unjust isolation imposed on it. The resolutions also underline reaching a just, durable and comprehensive solution to the Cypriot issue based on the UN parameters.
H .E the PUIC Assistant Secretary General thanked H.E. Dr. Hassan Bozer for his visit, and stressed the readiness of the General Secretariat to develop and enhance relations with the Turkish Cypriot parliament, which enjoys an observer status at the PUIC, in order to serve the interests of our glorious Muslim Ummah.
