Head of the International Campaign for Releasing the Abducted Members of Parliament, Deputy Musheer Al-Masri, stressed that the Israeli occupation authorities continue to practice oppressive measures against Palestinian members of parliament .

In a message to the PUIC Mr. Al Masri states that the Israeli enemy Interior Minister has decided to confiscate the identities of three Maghdesi deputies, namely Deputy Ahmed Atoon, Deputy Mohammad Totah and Deputy Mhammad Abu Teer, as well as the identity of the Minister Responsible for Al Quds in the 10th Palestinian cabinet Mr. Khalid Abu Arafah.

He added that the occupation authorities also issued a final deportation order against Deputy Mohammad Abu Teer, on 20.5.2010 and was given 30 days to implement the order. Mr. Al-Masri said that the deportation order was issued only hours after the release of Mr. Abu Teer after an abduction lasting 43 months following his election as a member of the legislature. Mr. Abu Teer has spent a total of 30 years in enemy prisons.

Mr. Al Masri called on the PUIC to criminalize the oppressive Israeli order, and to coordinate efforts in order to put an end to such brutal practices against members of parliament.
