The statement emphasised that the report clearly revealed the violation by the Zionist occupation forces of international legitimacy resolutions and the provisions of international law, calling on the international community to activate the “Uniting for Peace” mechanism as it is the most appropriate means to take collective measures to maintain international peace and security in the absence of consensus.

The AIPU also stressed that this mechanism represents an effective framework to deter the Zionist entity and put an end to its ongoing crimes, in addition to being a real guarantee to reviving the two-state solution process, thus guaranteeing the Palestinian people their legitimate rights to freedom, independence and the establishment of their independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.
