Secretary General Affirms that the Palestinian People Shall Remain Symbol of Sacrifice and Steadfastness

On the Seventh of January every year, the Palestinian people mark the “Day of the Palestinian Martyr” in commemoration of the souls of the homeland martyrs who have sacrificed their lives to preserve their liberty and dignity. This anniversary takes place today, at a time when the Palestinian people are renewing their commitment to their inalienable rights, despite the horrible crimes and aggressions to which they are facing.

The Palestinians continue to resist ferocious assaults on Gaza since last October, which have resulted in the passing away of over 22 thousand martyrs, a figure that reflects the atrocity of the attacks and the targeting of the civilian population.

In this symbolic day, H. E. the PUIC Secretary General, Mr Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, reiterates his affirmation that the Palestinian cause was, and shall remain, the primary cause of Muslims, and that the Palestinian people shall remain the symbol of sacrifice and steadfastness until they recover their legitimate rights, i.e. establishment of their independent sovereign state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, wherein is Al-Aqsa Mosque, First of the two Qiblas and third of the two Holy Mosques.
