Secretary General Affirms Solidarity with Nigeria

The Federal Republic of Nigeria is experiencing, since the beginning of the rainy season this year, the worst floods in a decade, which have resulted in 600 dead people, 2400 injured and the displacement of 1,3 million others, as well as the damage of more than a hundred hectares of agricultural lands and the destruction of 82000 houses.

H.E. the PUIC Secretary General Mr. Mouhamed Khouraichi NIASS, affirms solidarity with the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and offers sincere condolences and consolation to the Parliament, government and people of Nigeria, and to the families of the victims. He prays to Almighty Allah to shower His mercy on the dead and speed up recovery of the injured.

His Excellency calls for contributing to the rescue efforts carried out by the Nigerian authorities.
