The rate of participation was 63.5%. There were (234) contenders in the elections competing for (30) seats out of a total of (45) seats in the Qatari Shura Council.
The Qatari Shura Council is an active member parliament of the PUIC, and participates in all PUIC activities. The PUIC General Secretariat welcomes these elections and prays to Allah that their outcome may bring plenty, blessing and prosperity to the Qatari people.
