Insults targeting the most honored Prophet, our Master and Prophet Mohammed (pbuh), have been renewed in the West recently through the presentation of drawings vilifying the prophet, as well as, statements made by some officials that have harmed the sentiments of Muslims.

H.E. the PUIC Secretary General, Mr. Mouhamed Khouraichi NIASS, condemns these irresponsible acts, and affirms PUIC position which was approved in its conferences, that hurting religious sanctities does not serve peace and coexistence in the world.

Furthermore, that targeting Islam and Muslims by republication of offensive drawing, as well as the continuation of Islamophobia will only add consolidation and proliferation of Islam, because Allah the Almighty has chosen this religion for His creatures. Allah says,” Today, I have completed your religion for you and have completed my benevolence on you, and ordained Islam as your religion.

H.E the PUIC Secretary General calls for halting this campaign against Muslims and drawing upan international instrument banning vilification of symbols of divine religions, and safeguarding the sentiments of all monotheists.

These insults hurt Muslims more because they coincide with the passage of the celebration of the birth of the prophet of Mercy, our Messenger and prophet Mohamed (pbuh), as though those vilifiers wanted to disturb the joy and jubilation of Muslims for this auspicious memory.
