Demanding protection of Right of Worship in Al Aqsa Mosque

The Palestine National Council considers the continuous storming by the Israeli occupation of the blessed Al Aqsa Mosque in the occupied city of Al Quds, and vacating the worshipers by force, as an aggression on the religious right of the Palestinian, and the Arab and Islamic peoples, as well as a flagrant violation of the sanctity of the blessed Month of Ramadan.

The PNC stressed in its statement that the right to exercise worship and prayers and all Islamic rituals in the blessed Al Aqsa Mosque is the sole right of Muslims, and that the Israeli occupation should not prevent them from it. The PNC demanded providing the necessary protection to the Muslim worshippers in order to exercise their natural right of worship.

The PNC also stressed that the continuous Israeli aggression policies and measures towards the occupied city of Al Quds and the Islamic and Christian Sanctities therein constitute a violation of the international law and the resolutions of the international legitimacy, and a blatant aggression on the freedom of worship and the exercise of religious rituals which are enshrined in human rights conventions and the First Geneva Protocol of 1977, whose Article No. 53 has proscribed hostile actions against places of worship.
