The gathering was headed by Dr. Ousahla Mohamed Reda, who serves as the Vice President of the Algerian Council of the Nation (Senate), as Algeria currently holds the sessional presidency of the Parliamentary Union of OIC Member States (PUIC).

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Mr Adama Bictogo, President of the National Assembly of Côte d'Ivoire, as well as parliamentary delegations from a number of PUIC member states.

At the outset of the meeting, His Excellency Mr Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, Secretary General of the PUIC, delivered a brief speech in which he reviewed the agenda of the Consultative Meeting.

Following this, Mr. Adama Bictogo, Speaker of the National Assembly of Cote d'Ivoire, emphasized the importance of unity, particularly in the current critical circumstances affecting the Islamic world. He advocated a unified position on the situation in Gaza and stressed the need to support the Palestinian people.

Each delegation spoke and firmly denounced the Zionist entity's hostile actions against Gaza, expressing their outrage regarding the criminal acts perpetrated by the occupation forces in Gaza and the other Palestinian territories.
