In his message of congratulations, H.E. the PUIC Secretary General stated that converting “Ayasofya” once again to a mosque is a Turkish sovereignty decision, noting that this historical landmark was a mosque for almost 500, i.e. from the year 1453AD to the year 1934AD.
H.E. affirmed that converting “Ayasofya” constitutes projecting the pioneering role of the Turkish people in championing Allah’s religion and defending Islamic Sanctities.
