The PUIC Secretary General visited the Headquarters of the General Women Federation in Syria, on 24th May 2009, in response to the Federation’s invitation. He was received by the President of the Federation Dr. Majda Qeitate and other officials.
The Discussions focused on the condition of women in the Islamic World and the imperative of promoting her role in society.
The Secretary General expressed the hope that the Muslim Women will assume their role in developing and advancing Muslim Societies.
The meeting was attended by a number of the members of the Executive Bureau of the Federation.
