PUIC Secretary General Strongly Condemns Colombia and Slovenia’s Decision to Relocate Their Embassies in the Zionist Entity to Occupied Al-Quds

The Secretary General of the PUIC, His Excellency Mr Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, expressed his strong condemnation in response to the announcements made by Colombia and Slovenia regarding their preparations to relocate their embassies in the Zionist entity to occupied Al-Quds , a move that constitutes a flagrant violation of UN resolutions, particularly UNSC Res. 476, 478 and 2334, which affirm that any Israeli measures aimed at altering the character, legal status or demographic composition of the city of Al-Quds are null and void, and call upon States to withdraw their diplomatic missions from occupied Al-Quds.

The Secretary General considered that this move, particularly for Colombia, represents an unfortunate departure from its historical stance in support of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and is likely to damage relations between Colombia and Islamic States.

As for Slovenia, this measure goes against the unified European stance that does not recognise Israeli sovereignty over Al-Quds, violates the rights of the Palestinian people, and affects the sentiments of Muslims, which will have serious repercussions on Slovenia’s relations with the Islamic world.

His Excellency called on Colombia and Slovenia to abandon these stances in accordance with international law and in the interests of maintaining good relations with the Islamic world.
