H.E. the Secretary General participated in the 15^th Conference of the Inter Arab Parliamentary Union. Upon a kind invitation from the Secretary General of the Inter Arab Parliamentary Union (IAPU), H.E. Professor Mahmud Erol KILIC, PUIC Secretary General, accompanied by H.E. Ambassador Ali Asghar Mohammadi, PUIC Assistant Secretary General, participated in the proceedings of the 15^th Conference of the IAPU, held in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, on 7-9 March 2009. H.E. the PUIC Secretary General expressed the willingness of the General Secretariat to cooperate and coordinate with the IAPU General Secretariat in all fields and at all levels. The speech of the Secretary General, delivered at the Conference, included a briefing on the Union, its objectives and organs. H.E. the Secretary General met on the sidelines of the Conference with a number of Parliament Speakers and heads of delegation. The Secretary General also met with H.E. Ahmed Bin Mohammad Al-Issaei, Speaker of the Consultative Assembly of Oman.
