On the invitation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), H.E. Professor Dr. Mahmud Erol KILIC, PUIC Secretary General participated, in an Observer capacity, in the proceedings of the 31st Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), held in Athens, Greece, on 10 – 11 June, 2008. His Excellency delivered a speech at the meeting in which he mentioned that at least 3 member states of PABSEC are at the same time members of PUIC. So although PUIC is not a region-based organization but they can be a bridge for improving mutual economical, political and cultural ties between the Black Sea region and the most part of the Middle East, Gulf, African and Asian regions.
