The PUIC Secretary General H.E. Prof. Mahmud Erol KILIC, condemns the arbitrary measures taken by the Israeli government of occupation involving closing the precincts of Al-Aqsa Mosque barring access of worshippers on Friday 14 July, 2017, as well as preventing praying in the blessed mosque or even calling to prayers.

His Excellency considers such Israeli measures as a serious precedent which is unjustified, constituting aggression on the holy sites and a provocation for religious sentiments. His Excellency demands immediate opening of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque for worshippers. He also requests the intervention of the specialized UN Organizations in terms of fulfilling their obligations to protect the freedom of religions and belief, and to preserve the contents of the blessed mosque and its historical documents.
