The PUIC Secretary General, H.E. Prof. Dr. Mahmud Erol KILIC, commended the steadfastness of the Palestinian detainees who were on hunger strike, under the leadership of the struggler Marwan al-Barghouthi, whose struggle was crowned by obtaining their humanitarian demands relating to improvement of their conditions of detention by the Israeli prison authorities.

His Excellency called on the international community and civil society organizations to oblige the occupation authorities to better treat the detainees by providing them with the means of a decent living.
He expressed appreciation to all who supported the detainees and the hunger strikers in their just cause. His Excellency invited the international community and the civil society organizations to force the Israeli government to release the detainees.
